Léo Courbot

Léo Courbot has a PhD from the University of Lille 3, France, where he works as a Temporary Teaching Assistant (ATER); he is an associate member of the CECILLE research laboratory. He was admitted to the French Competitive Exam at Ph.D Level (Agrégation) in 2013. He does research on Caribbean literature and intercultural theory, specifically focusing on Anglo-Guyanese author and professor Fred D’Aguiar (recently naturalized as an American citizen, in 2014). His first research monograph, Fred D’Aguiar and Caribbean Literature: Metaphor, Myth, Memory, is currently being peer reviewed for publication by Brill/Rodopi. Contact: leocourbot@gmail.com
